Harney Lane

We are in escrow! Here's the listing photo of the house we are buying. It is on 3 acres and on the east end of Lodi. Wow, I think we're still in shock that we are moving soon. Plus we are working on sprucing up our Church Street house, it needs some love and attention! Our new house will need some TLC as well. The adventure awaits!

George Washington's Birthday

Today is our first president's birthday... Why am I celebrating it??? well, for the obvious reasons, plus it's a great chance for a history lesson with the kids, and because I LOVE CHERRIES!!!!!!!!!! This afternoon we will be doing some sort of craft related to George and and how he couldn't tell a lie... hope to get some pics of that up soon.

Heather

As I had wrote in my previous post, we took our friend Heather to the healing Mass last Friday night. She very much enjoyed it and wanted to stay till it was over (which gets to be kind of late). I don't know if she received any healing but I'm sure she got a kick out of getting out on a Friday night and listening to the awesome music. We will bring her again sometime. Please keep her in your prayers. She's very capable but cannot speak. If only she could speak... her life could be so different. But perhaps that is not in God's plan, who knows how her life would change if she suddenly could talk.

Lent

Lent sure has snuck up on us... seems just last week we were putting our Christmas things away... oh... maybe it was! Well not quite but I still have a few straglers around I need to store. I hope to come up with some Lent activities for the kids. I've found some interesting ones on other blogs. Tonight we are going to the healing Mass that Jason is a music minister for... we are bringing our friend Heather, who is mentally and physically handicapped. I'll let you know what happens! Please keep her in your prayers along with others like her that suffer with pain, no family, and frustration. Like the first sorrowful mystery in the most Holy Rosary, Jesus' agony in the garden... sweating blood, longing for peace, and being abandoned by his apostles... these people experience such sorrow. Heather does have a light inside her and she sure lets it shine! She's very sweet and caring. It would be wonderful for her to have her own miracle tonight, whether we see it or not.

Winter Wonderland

Here are some pics from our side trip to the snow on the way to Reno last week. It was freezing, hence the snow, but we had a fun time. It was a quick romp in the powder at a gas station parking lot. There was another family taking advantage of the easy access as well. The pic with the red arrow is one of the snow blower shooting snow to the side. We thought it was really cool. The sun was beginning to set and made for a beautiful setting. The sky was afire with a bright glow.

Another quiz...

What Be Your Nerd Type?
Your Result: Social Nerd

You're interested in things such as politics, psychology, child care, and peace. I wouldn't go so far as to call you a hippie, but some of you may be tree-huggers. You're the type of people who are interested in bettering the world. You're possible the least nerdy of them all; unless you participate in other activies that paled your nerdiness compared to your involvement in social activities. Whatever the case, we could still use more of you around. ^_^
