Good Morning, Girl

Francesca's not a morning person...
This morning she woke up at 6am, early for her. I held her for about an hour while we both snoozed and/or relaxed a while. Here she is rubbing her eyes, actually starting to wake up around 7:15.
A few big yawns...A few adorable looks...

I think I'm ready to face the sunshine now.

Lake Tahoe

Last week we spent a couple days in South Lake Tahoe with Gramma Cathy. On the way the kids were happy to see some snow. After a few tries of finding the perfect snow spot to park at, we found one! Look at them in shorts and sandals, playing in the snow... old snow that is. Still fun!

Here we are in the lodge we stayed at for two nights. Everyone's huddled
over Gramma's shoulder to peek at the video on dad's iphone.
Marshmallows for breakfast? Yup, believe it or not!
Gramma and Francesca outside the lodge.

We all took a turn at some ping pong.
And one of the most exciting features of the stay... Snow Flowers! Gramma told us about how her dad told her as a girl to be on the look out for Snow Flowers whenever they went to Tahoe. We were able to spot a few on the way back from the lake... then right in our own Lodge's backyard, Vincent was able to snap a few close ups of the dazzling specimen.

We spent and afternoon at the beach at Meeks Bay,
Gramma's yearly childhood destination.

Here's Zack building castles in the sand.
Vincent taking a break from swimming in the COLD waters.
Francesca had fun pointing to the ducks and the geese.
And of course eating ice cream from the snack shop.

The water was sooooooooo clear!

Three Kids

Pretty soon I'll be trying to pose 4 kids... so here's to only posing 3 for now! The more the cuter though, right?

Vincent the Tortilla Maker

Our homeschool group co-op had Spanish classes this semester. One of the activities was teaching kids how to roll out and cook flour tortillas. Vincent loves to cook so soon after, we made some tortilla dough and rolled it out. They ended up very tasty!

Zachary's First Holy Communion

Zack made his first holy communion May 9 on Mother's Day at St. Michael's Parish. It was so much fun because he was so excited about it and looked forward to it for days. Here are the photos from the day:

Zack posing in the courtyard before the ceremony.

He's all smiles!

There's Zack processing out after Mass.

likes wagon rides
likes her play house in the back yard
goes to bed in her crib at night without crying! yeah!
